Perfectly located on the Eagle River Chain of 28 Lakes, the resort is your destination for fun on the water. Right from the shoreline there are many activities to choose from. You can water-ski, wakeboard, JetSki or explore the waters by canoe or kayak. Whether you bring your own watercraft or need our assistance in renting one, it’s all here for you.

Choose from any three of our recommended trips.


Take a picture by each stop and return to Wild Eagle Lodge to show us the pictures. For taking the tour your group will receive $20 in resort bucks* to be used at the Wild Eagle Lodge gift shop or Boondocker's Lounge. Also enter your photos in our snowmobile tour photo contest to win a one night stay at the Wild Eagle Lodge next snowmobile season. Gangster Run


Take in one of our favorite lunch spots and enjoy the views on the way. Visit Little Bohemia Lodge. The site of John Dillinger and the Dillinger Gang's epic shootout with the F.B.I., also the filming location for the movie Public Enemies.

Hall of Fame Run


The Snowmobile Hall of Fame is another place you will not want to miss. Check out the history of snowmobiling at both recreational and competitive levels. See historic race sleds, trophies, clothing and photo collections. We recommend stopping and taking in lunch at the Bear's Den overlooking Little St. Germain Lake too.

Lunch Run


Head north from Wild Eagle Lodge to one of our favorite lunch stops, the Black Oak Inn. It is known for it's specialty sandwiches. Enjoy beautiful scenery on your way as you wind through the northwoods.

Wild Eagle Snowshoe Trail

The Wild Eagle Snowshoe Trail is a 3/4 mile loop around the resort. This is a great trail for your first time on snowshoes as well as offering unique views of the resort. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, the trail goes along some well established deer trails. You may also come across an otter or two as well. A distinctive feature of the Wild Eagle Snowshoe Trail is the fact that it has lights which allow you to go snowshoeing under the night sky. Wild Eagle Lodge is now offering our guests snowshoe rentals right at the resort. Stop by the front desk to sign out your pair of snowshoes on your next visit with us.

  • Snowshoes are $10 per day (24 hours)
  • Snowshoes are rented on a first come first serve basis, unless part of a package.

Hockey

Hocley at Wild Eagle Lodge

Hockey is a long-standing tradition in Eagle River and our community is supported by a very strong local organzation - the Eagle River Recreation Association (ERRA).  Our love for hockey fuels the many tournaments, year-around ice hockey schools and an annual adult pond hockey tournament that is held in Eagle River every winter.
