If you didn’t make it out for our Open House yesterday you can still stop by. A real estate agent will be here all weekend to answer your questions and give tours.

The 4th of July Weekend

The 4th of July Weekend is just around the corner. Plan to stop by our Tiki Bar located on Duck Lake next to our beach area. It will be open daily 11:30am-5:30pm. Come out and see our float in the 4th of July Parade held downtown Eagle River on the 4th at 11:00am. Eagle River’s fireworks are held at dusk on Sunday the 4th of July at the Hi-Pines campground. Don’t forget about Watermelon Days Art and Craft Fair at the fairgrounds from 9:30am-4:30pm this weekend. Hope to see you for the holiday weekend!

Tiki Bar Grand Re-opening

We had a successful re-opening to our Tiki Bar this weekend. The weather was great and many people enjoyed being out on the water. Make sure to stop by for a tropical drink, cold beer or a slushie. The Tiki Bar will be open weekends until summer when it will be open every day.

Boondocker’s Has A New Menu

Boondocker’s Lounge, here on the grounds of Wild Eagle Lodge, now has a new menu. A few of the items on the menu are a Bacon Ranch Burger, Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich, and a Double Decker Club Sandwich. I’m excited about the Mozzarella Sticks we added to the appetizers. They are a Wisconsin mozzarella stick wrapped in a won-ton wrapper and fried to perfection. Yummy!! Boondocker’s will start serving the new menu next weekend May 28^th from 5pm- 9pm. Stop in and try a burger, sandwich, pizza or appetizers.

Getting Ready for the Summer!

Summer is almost here!

With Memorial Day just a few short weeks away the focus here at the Wild Eagle Lodge has turned towards summer! Chris and the maintenance staff are hard at work getting the resort grounds looking their best. We are putting the final touches on our new expanded activities program. The children’s program has been expanded to 5 days this summer! We have also added a number of activities that will be fun for the whole family, some highlights include: family wii tournaments, teen and adult poker nights, free throw tournaments, trivia contests, and “Tiki Tuesdays” just to name a few of the events. The full calendar of events will be out shortly.

Memorial Day also marks the launch of our new menu in Boondocker’s. We have kept a few of the favorites and added some new twists that you are sure to love. There is a “build your own burger” on the menu that lets you create the perfect burger, up to 1 lb! We have some great new specialty sandwiches as well as some new appetizers. So be sure to stop by on your next trip and give us a try!

A Great Journeys Marathon!

Another successful Journeys Marathon! I heard there were a record number of 1,028 participants this year. The snowy weather did not stop the runners or the crowd coming out to give support. The snow melted off by noon and turned into a nice day. Great job runners and we hope to see you again next year.

To wrap up the weekend, I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day! The sun is out and it’s supposed to get into the upper 50′s today. Have a great day.

Another Successful Walleye School

Fun was had by all that that participated in the Wild Eagle Lodge Walleye School this past weekend. Saturday was a brutal day on the water with wind gusts of 40 mph, which made the fishing really difficult. A few walleye were caught. Our fishing team from Ohio (Dave and Bob) landed a beautiful 30″ pike. On Sunday the weather conditions improved and it was a really nice day on the water. More walleye were caught, including a 25″ beauty when Pat (Iowa) and his sister Barb (Colorado) were in the boat with RFRG Outdoors guide, Muskie Matt. The foursome from Wisconsin (Nadine, Gary, Don and Kathy) found a nice walleye hole as well. Bob was thrilled to land a day-two tiger muskie with beautiful markings.

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of folks to spend the weekend with. At breakfast this morning, contact information was exchanged as fish tales from the weekend were shared. When the school started we were all strangers to one another. When it was time to say goodbye hugs and well wishes were exchanged by everyone. There was talk about doing it all over again next year. That’s what it’s all about!

A special thanks to all of the participants, the guides, and Melissa for her fantastic meals.

Wild Eagle Lodge Walleye School

The Wild Eagle Lodge Walleye School kicked off tonight with a meet and greet session. We have participants from Ohio, Colorado, Iowa and Wisconsin. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for them and they will land some big fish. Check back throughout the weekend because we will keep you updated on how things are going and will be posting pictures of the fish caught.
