Rebecca and her bridesmaids watching the weather.

Another week has begun here at Wild Eagle Lodge, and it looks like it is going to be a good one. This past weekend we had the Kruse/Nash wedding on the property, it was not the best weather for them but they made do as you can see in the picture. We here at the Wild Eagle Lodge would like to thank Rebecca and Tim for having their wedding with us and we would like to wish them many happy years together. This weekend is Labor Day Weekend and we still have some available units if you are looking to getaway. We are offering 2 great specials for the weekend as well. We have our Labor Day Family Getaway package which includes Sunday brunch at the Riverstone as well as our Fall Getaway special. Either one of these would make for a great weekend getaway at Wild Eagle Lodge.

I’ll talk to you soon,

Festival of Flavors

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Hello from the Wild Eagle Lodge on the eve of a very busy weekend. Besides the wedding we are hosting this weekend and the Wisconsin Muskie Tour event, it is also the first Festival of Flavors. I was out there earlier today helping set up for the event this weekend and it looks like it is going to be a great time. They have plenty of activates associated with the event, not to mention the “Taste of Wisconsin”. They have a huge tent set up just for wine, cheese, and food tasting. It looks like it is going to be a little cool tomorrow to be out joy riding on the water so you should stop on by. I will be there enjoying all the great offerings that they have. But it looks like it is going to be a great weekend for Eagle River and Wild Eagle Lodge.

Talk to you soon,

Here is the NEW display in the lobby of Wild Eagle Lodge

Well it is another beautiful day in the Northwood’s; the big news today is that we had our display in the lobby changed out this morning. As you can see from the picture above Brian from Custom Robotic Wildlife, Inc. was here this morning setting up the new animals for the display. Next time you are in the area you should stop by and see them.

Looking a little ahead we have the 1st Festival of Flavors this weekend. This event showcases Wisconsin food products from all over the state, as well as a number of other activities going along with the event. It’s sure to be a great time that you do not want to miss out on. For more information visit their website here. I’ll be out there Friday morning helping to set up, and I think I will have to stop by on Saturday for some wine and cheese. Hope to see you there.

Koch-Waksmonski Wedding

Congratulations to Joe and Kyla who had their wedding here last night, everyone had a great time. We here at the Wild Eagle Lodge would like to wish them the best on their new life together. The Benefit concert we had on the property last night was also a great success, the Dave Fitzpatrick band was terrific. All in all it was a busy and exciting weekend for everyone on the property, staff included. To top it all off the Packer’s won their game last night. The new Defense is looking good so far, could make for an interesting year in the NFC North.

Fall is just around the corner

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Today’s weather is more like a late September day rather than a late August day, but we needed a little rain. I have started to notice that the leaves on the trees are that light green color they turn to right before they turn colors. A few of the trees have a branch or two that have already changed. My guess would be that we are only a few short weeks away from the peak colors. We created a web page just for those of you who are like me and think that fall is the best time in the Northwoods; you can check it out here. It will keep you up-to-date on the progress of our fall colors as well as some great fall activities and events. I look forward to hearing any comments or questions that you may have.
