RFRG Radio Show
RFRG Radio Show

Last night from 7-9pm I was able to listen to the RFRG Radio Show that is broadcast from our Boondocker’s Lounge at Wild Eagle Lodge. This is an internet fishing talk show that gives you fishing tips, techniques and area information by a couple local fishing guides. It is very interactive with it’s listeners. I highly recommend sitting in on a show if you are here on a Sunday evening or listen live via the internet at www.muskiematt.com every Sunday from 7-9pm.

927 wedding 019We had another beautiful weekend. The weather is starting to feel more like fall and it did cooperate for the outdoor wedding ceremony on Saturday. The colors are definitely changing and we are seeing more leaves falling to the ground. This coming weekend is Cranberry Fest and the colors should be perfect. Make your reservations for this event soon we are filling up.

Here’s our 2nd Trivia question about Wisconsin. The first person to email the correct answer to me will receive 10% off any new reservation with us. We will be doing this periodically throughout the year so be sure to check back often. I’ll post the answer to the question as soon as I receive the winning answer.

Today’s question is: What was the mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Regiment in the Civil War? And what was it’s name?

The first person who emails me here with the correct answer wins.

We have a winner, the answer is a Bald Eagle named “Old Abe”.

A fisherman on Duck Lake enjoying the Fall weather

A fisherman on Duck Lake enjoying the Fall weather

This weekend the Wild Eagle Lodge is proud to welcome Bill’s Musky Club to the resort. They are here to have a get together and to do some fishing, and they picked the perfect time to do so. The trees are almost at their peak color and there is a slight cold front coming in which will make for a great fishing weekend. We also have a group of bridge players in as well as a wedding so it’s going to be a fun time here this weekend. As you can see no matter what the occasion is Wild Eagle Lodge is the perfect spot to be. I also added some more fall picture to our online gallery here, hope everyone enjoys there weekend.

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

We’ve been busy with business groups here at the Wild Eagle Lodge.  What a perfect way to get a break from the office. Meetings are usually held during the day then they take advantage of our many amenities at the resort. Last nights group took a pontoon dinner ferry over to the Riverstone Restaurant. If you’re interested in bringing your company here contact Heather and she can help customize a package to your needs.

A look at some of our fall decorations here at Wild Eagle Lodge

Fall is in the air, Chris and the maintenance staff has been putting the fall decorations out and the grounds look great here at Wild Eagle Lodge. I have put some pictures of the resort up on the web here, check back soon as I will be updating this album frequently. We have been having some great weather this month, it has been better than July. But now would be the perfect time to come up and do some biking or hiking on some of the wonderful trails in the Eagle River area and enjoy the fall colors. I have been out a few times this month on the Three Eagle Bike Trail and it has been great, I can’t wait to get out there once we hit our peak color. I would also like to congratulate Wendy who answered our trivia question correctly. Check back soon for our next question.

Guest jet skiing on Duck Lake

Guest jet skiing on Duck Lake

Many of our guests had the convenience of renting a jet ski from Triple C Rental right from the Wild Eagle Lodge property this year. With the weather being so nice we’ve been able to squeeze in some extra nice days out on the water as we head into fall.  We are still running our dinner ferry pontoon ride to the restaurantson the water all you have to do is sign up at the front desk. Being located right on the water is one of our best amenities we have to offer so take advantage of the fun and beautiful scenery it has to offer on your next visit.
