It is the best time of the year for college basketball fans, with everyone picking their teams and filling out their brackets. Last year was not a good year for me; all of my final four teams were knocked out by the second round. Maybe it’s a sign I should stick to football and that basketball is just not the sport for me. But, I do want to wish all you die-hards out their good luck with your brackets! Let me know who you think is going to win the NCAA tournament this year.
Since we are on the subject of tournaments, there is a great youth 3 on 3 hockey tournament here in Eagle River next weekend. The Ice Masters 3 on 3 tournament is the longest running 3 on 3 tournament of its kind anywhere. The Eagle River Recreation Association is hoping for 70 to 75 teams this year playing in the fast-paced ½ court tournament. If you would like more information or to register a team for the event, visit the Eagle River Recreation Association web page. Even if you are not playing this is a great event to come out and watch.
